
Hana Itani
Hana Itani, received her BS Landscape Design and Eco-system Management, American University of Beirut in 2012. She served as Research Assistant in 2014 at the American University of Beirut for the Atlas of Lebanon Project, multi-layered mapping Lebanon’s territorial and infrastructural landscape, spatial typologies and landscape social perceptions. Hana participated in the organization of international workshop on ‘Landscape in Emergency’ (2015), tackling the environmental impact and socio-cultural practices of Syrian refugees camps on the Lebanese landscape. Hana was part of the design team implementing the design outcome from the workshop in the Bar-Elias Syrian refugee camp, Bekaa. In April 2016, Hana joined Unit44 as a landscape designer. Since, she has applied her extensive knowledge of plants in the design, planting layout and landscape management for residential and commercial sites.
