
George Battikha
George Battikha is a Landscape Horticulturist. He took his Bsc degree in Agriculture and Msc in Horticulture from the American university of Beirut and was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to study at Davis University of California and he got his Msc in Landscape Horticulture and continued his study for a PHD at Davis University in Botany .He had training in Kew and Versaille University and Rome Park Department. He was the Director of Beirut Landscaping Projects and later Director of Public Parks and Gardens. He was involved in execution as a contractor or consultant and in design of many projects in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia (Jeddah, Riad ,Dahran, Jubail) ,Kuwait, Yemen, Jordan. Regarding his teaching experience he taught at the Lebanese University, Kaslik University and finally at the American University of Beirut in courses related to Horticulture, Ornamental Horticulture, Landscape Horticulture, Landscape Design, Landscape History, and Landscape Management. He is a member of International Plant Propagators Society, Tree Friends Society.
