Liwa Oasis Town

Working with the Urban Planning Council of Abu Dhabi on a series of three international workshops 2008 Al Ain Master Plan, 2010 Al Gharbia Regional Plan, I was responsible for the Liwa Master Plan, 2011 Al Sharqia Master Plan. The key was to work in arid regions, to recognize the significance of traditional practices as a heritage of the UAE and equally develop sustainable landscape guidelines. I joined SERA Architects, who were commissioned to prepare a master plan for the center of Liwa, to continue work on a landscape vision for this exceptional oasis settlement.
